Women’s Soccer Loses to the Falcons

NASHUA, NH: Rivier women's soccer lost to Albertus Magnus College this afternoon in conference play on Joanne Merrill Field.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/8/22

- Score: Albertus Magnus 4, Rivier 0

- Records: Rivier (0-10-1, 0-7-1 GNAC), Albertus Magnus (6-4-2, 4-3-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- In the first half, three goals were scored by the Falcons. Keegan Riccio netted the first goal. Emmalee Ianniello passed to Haley Andrews who scored for Albertus Magnus. The third goal was off a penalty kick, scored by Andrews.

- Andrews went on to score her third goal of the game in the second half.

- Julia Cafferty (Tewksbury, MA) got the start and had 16 saves for Riv. Emily Mikelson (Concord, NH) was sent into the game after Cafferty (Tewksbury, MA) went down on a play. Mikelson (Concord, NH) recorded just under 38 minutes and had 10 saves for the Raiders. Amy Stevens had four saves this afternoon for the Falcons, earning the win.
