Graham, Kelland named to GNAC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honors

(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced earlier today that two Rivier University Men's Lacrosse student-athletes were selected as the GNAC Men's Lacrosse Player and Rookie of the Week. 

Junior Kyle Graham (Londonderry, N.H.) was honored for the third time as the GNAC Player of the Week. Graham scored 11 goals while assisting on eight other Raiders' scores this week. Graham had two goals and an assist Tuesday in a win over Anna Maria. In a Thursday win vs. Daniel Webster, Graham scored a career high seven goals and assisted on two others. Saturday was the week's 2nd GNAC match-up versus St Joseph's (ME) and Graham contributed seven points by way of two goals and five assists in the win.

Freshman Joe Kelland (Watertown, Mass.) was tabbed GNAC Rookie of the Week afer he piled up 17 points this week for the Raiders scoring 10 goals and handing out seven assists. Kelland had two goals and five assists in a Tuesday game vs. Anna Maria. The first year attackman followed that up with a four goal, two assist effort on Thursday vs. Daniel Webster.  He finished the week with another four goal output in a Saturday game vs. Saint Joseph's. Kelland contributions on offense helped lead the Raiders to a 3-0 week.

The Men's Lacrosse team is currently 10-2 on the season with a 2-2 mark in conference play. They will return to action on Wednesday night when they travel to Boston, Mass. for a GNAC tilt with Emmanuel College.
