Men's Lacrosse announces 2015 Schedule

(Nashua, N.H.) Rivier University Men's Lacrosse Head Coach, Jay DeLanoy has announced the 2015 Men's Lacrosse Schedule. DeLanoy, who will be entering his fourth season at the helm, has guided the Raiders to three consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament appearances. Last season the Raiders enjoyed their most successful season in program history as they finished at an even 8-8 with three of those losses by a single a goal.

The 16 game 2015 schedule features 9 home contests on the friendly confines of Raider Field, an all field turf facility located on the beautiful campus of Rivier University. Rivier will play host to four GNAC contests with five solid non-conference opponents.

The Raiders will open the season at home on February 25th with a 6pm non-conference faceoff against Thomas College. The Terriers, who compete in the North Atlantic Conference, were an even 4-4 in the NAC.

Rivier will have five games beneath their belt before they open GNAC play on March 14th when Mount Ida College visits Raider Field. In 2014, the Raiders suffered a one goal loss against the Mustangs down in Newton, Mass.

At the end of the season, the Raiders will embark on a three game road trip that will take them to three different states while in GNAC competition. On April 8th they will be in Boston, Mass. looking to avenge another one of their one goal set-backs from 2014 against defending GNAC Champions Emmanuel College before traveling to Northfield, Vermont (April 11th vs. Norwich University) and Providence, Rhode Island (April 15th vs. Johnson and Wales University).

Rivier will wrap up the 2015 campaign with a Saturday afternoon home contest against Albertus Magnus College.

The 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Tournament will begin with the Quarterfinals on April 21st. The semifinals will take place at the highest remaining seeds on April 23rd and the Championship date is set for Saturday, April 25th.
