MLAX: Kyle Graham & Tyler Tambouris Receive GNAC Weekly Honors

The March 2, 2015 GNAC Men's Lacrosse Weekly Report named four Raiders to weekly honors.

GNAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kyle Graham (Jr., A, Londonderry, N.H.) - Graham led all Rivier scorers in a two-win weekend. Graham posted eight points in a 14-5 win over Maine Maritime with a five-goal, three-assist effort on Saturday, February 28th. Playing 24 hours later against Thomas, Kyle put together a five-point afternoon, scoring twice and handing out three helpers in a 19-3 Raiders victory. The junior Captain was a key player for Rivier, helping to the lead the team to a 2 - 0 start to the 2015 season.

GNAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Tyler Tambouris (Fr., M, Hooksett, N.H.) - Tambouris contributed 11 points by way of five goals and six assists, helping the Raiders to two wins in their opening two games. He had two goals and four assists in a 14-5 victory over Maine Maritime on Saturday February 28th and scored three times while assisting on two others in a 19-3 win over Thomas on Sunday, March 1st. It was a great start for the first year player's Rivier career.

GNAC HONORABLE MENTIONS

Two other Raiders were recognized as GNAC Men's Lacrosse Honorable Mentions in the weekly report as well. Cody Lynch (Jr., M, Salem, NH) and Clark Plummer (Jr., GK, Londonderry, NH) were recognized for their contributions in the wins. Lynch posted 76% face-off wins taking 38 draws in the two games for Rivier, while also scoring 7 goals and assisting on 2 others. Lynch scored 3 goals, won 14 of 21 face-offs and collected 10 groundballs in a 14-5 win over Maine Maritime. In the 19-3 victory over Thomas, he scored 4 goals, dished out 2 assists and Won 15 of the 17 face-off draws he took while piling up 12 more groundballs. Plummer posted a 66.7 save percentage in the two games. Plummer turned away 12 shots the win over Maine Maritime. The Raider goaltender then held Thomas to just 3 scores the following day in a 19-3 victory. Plummer's efforts tallied his stats for the weekend at a 16 save total and a 4.00 goals against per game average.

With four players receiving weekly GNAC Men's Lacrosse honors it was an impressive start for the Raiders.
