Men's Lacrosse: Four Raiders tabbed All-Conference

(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference has announced their 2016 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference team this afternoon and four Raiders were honored among the first two teams. Senior Kyle Graham (Londonderry, N.H.), sophomore Liam Ryan (Dorchester, Mass.) and freshmen Colby Larsen (Windham, N.H.) and Ken Whittier (Amherst, N.H.) were tabbed All-Conference selections as voted on by the nine conference head coaches.

Graham returns to the All-Conference First team for the second time in his career. A second team selection as an attackman a year ago, Graham slid back to the midfield and shined. He netted 29 goals and 28 assists for 57 points during his 17 games. The captain also collected 35 ground balls and recorded 57 shots on goal – 70.4 SOG%. He departs the program as the All-Time career leader in goals, assists and points.

Ryan earned his first appearance on the All-Conference team after having successful sophomore campaign in which he complied 54 points on 35 goals and 19 assists this season. He also played in all 17 contests for the Raiders where he picked up 39 groundballs and took 63 shots on net.

First year attackman, Larsen was tabbed to the second team All-Conference after having a tremendous offensive season in the blue and white. Larsen led all Raiders with 48 goals and 61 points. The rookie took 79 shots on net for a 66.9% SOG. He also collected 20 ground balls and added 13 assists in the first 17 games of his career.

Another freshman to earn an All-Conference selection, Whittier was chosen as a second team defenseman. He played in all 17 games in the backfield where he totaled 22 groundballs and caused 18 turnovers.

Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 12 member institutions and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region. Each year, the GNAC sponsors and administers 17 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunities and community involvement.
