Men's Basketball: Raiders fall short to Emmanuel

Boston, Mass.—The Rivier University Men's Basketball team fell 90-76 to Emmanuel College during a non-conference matchup at Andy Yosinoff Court. The loss brings the Raiders to an overall record of 3-10 while the Saints improve to 11-2 on the season.

Senior Issaiah Chappell (Sunapee, N.H.) led the Raiders with 23 points on the night. Sophomore Pharaoh Davis (Plainville, Mass.) added 15 points while collecting four rebounds while freshman Nesta Roberts (Manchester, Conn.) put up 13 points and grabbed three rebounds on the night. Classmate Nikolas Pignone (Stoneham, Mass.) chipped in with 10 points for the night.

The Saints were led by junior Jack Moulder (Newtown, Conn.) with 23 points. Junior Marcus Fox (Danbury, Conn.) had one of two Saint double-doubles with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Classmate Zachary Crisafulli (Easthampton, Mass.) produced the other double-double with 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor while pulling down 10 rebounds on the night.

Rivier return to play next Saturday with their first conference matchup against Regis College with a scheduled tip-off at 3:00 p.m. Emmanuel return to play on Wednesday with a non-conference matchup against Elms College with a scheduled tip-off at 5:00 p.m.
