Foster named GNAC Field Hockey Goalie of the Week!

(Winthrop, Mass.) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced this afternoon that Rivier University sophomore Emily Foster (West Lebanon, N.H.) was selected as the GNAC Field Hockey Goalkeeper of the Week, presented by Corvias.

The second-year keeper stopped 20 of 24 shots for an .833 save percentage on the 1-1 week for the Raiders. She made an impressive 14 saves in a defeat to Colby-Sawyer on Wednesday evening before stopping all six shots she faced in a GNAC shutout 1-0 win over Johnson and Wales University. The shutout was Fosters' first of the season as it handed her team their first conference win of the season.

This is the second time this season that Foster has garnered GNAC Goalie of the Week honors. She was selected back on September 12th.

The Raider Field Hockey team will host Castleton University tomorrow evening with a 6pm start time at Raider Field.
