Boston, MA – Brian Rosa (New York, NY) pitched seven shutout innings as the Fisher Falcons snapped a three game skid, defeating the Rivier University Raiders, 2-0, Monday night at Fraser Field in Lynn, MA. With the victory, Fisher improves to 23-10 on the season while Rivier drops to 0-19.

The game remained scoreless for the first five and ½ innings until Davidson Peguero's (West Roxbury, MA) two out double broke the deadlock. The Falcons add an insurance run in the bottom of the seventh on an Ynothathan Santelises (Lynn, MA) sacrifice fly that drove in Edwin Herrera (Union City, NJ).

Peguero finished the night with two hits while Adam Lucey (Malden, MA) and Spencer Hermann (Jacksonville, FL) each added a hit from the Falcons.

Nelson Lopez (Brooklyn, NY) pitched the final two innings to complete the shutout for this first save of the season.

Rivier's Drew Neely (Lakeland, FL) pitched well for the Raiders despite the loss. The right hander went 6 and 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits. Neely managed one strikeout without allowing any free passes.

David Cusack (Newburyport, MA), Adam Arkell (Dover, NH) and John Ciarcia (Rindge, NH) each collected one of Rivier's three hits on the evening.

The Falcons return to action Thursday night when they host Framingham State University at Fraser Field. It will be the second meeting of the season between the Rams and Falcons this season, with Fisher winning the game one, 7-4, on April 1st. Rivier returns to the diamond Wednesday April 9th when they host Gordon College.
