Raiders remain perfect in the GNAC with a 3-0 win over Albertus Magnus

(Nashua, NH) The Rivier University Women's Volleyball team defeated the Albertus Magnus College Falcons this afternoon, 3-0 as they remain unbeaten in Great Northeast Athletic Conference play. The Raiders are now 7-0 in the conference and stand at 17-5 overall.

The Falcons fall to 9-10 overall and 1-6 in the GNAC as Rivier took the three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-9 and 25-15.

Senior Nicole Peacock (Warwick, RI) managed to knock down 7 kills and two total blocks in her two sets played to lead the team. She also swung at .600 clip. Freshman Lauren Silverman (Chelmsford, MA) recorded five kills while classmates Molly McCormack (Ballston Lake, NY), Dana Mott (Medway, MA) and Chelsey Hussey (Lebanon, CT) each added four kills. Sophomore Emily O'Reilly (San Francisco, CA) registered 29 assists and senior libero Jessica Amaral (East Providence, RI) contributed 14 digs for the Raiders.

Albertus Magnus was led by Melissa Manning who had five kills and five digs. Caitlin Prete recorded seven digs and Lily Dy had 9 assists, both team highs.

Next up for Rivier will be a Wednesday night conference game at Simmons College. Albertus Magnus will host Anna Maria College on Saturday afternoon in their next schedule contest.
