Peacock earns GNAC Offensive Player of the Week

(Boston, MA) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference annouced earlier this afternoon that Rivier University senior Nicole Peacock was selected as the GNAC Offensive Player of the Week for Women's Volleyball.

Peacock led the Raiders to 3-1 week for a 2nd place finish at the Regis College Invitational and was named to the All Invitational Team for her play. The 5'8 native of Warick, Rhode Island paced the Raider attack with 50 kills, 3.33 kills/set, and an impressive .378 hitting percentage over the 4 matches; highlighted by a .526 hitting percentage and 13 kill performance in a 3-0 win over WPI.

Peacock and the Raiders will be back on the court this upcoming weekend as they head out to the Springfield College Tournament in Springfield, Massachusetts. Game one will be on Friday night against Westfield State University, beginning at 7:00pm.
