
Purcell, Guidi named to the NH D3 All-State Teams
(Nashua, NH) The New Hampshire NCAA Division III Coaches Association announced on Monday, March 25th their 2012-13 All State Selections.
Leading the list were a pair of Raiders as sophomore Deanna Purcell (Hudson, NH) and junior A.J. Guidi (Derry, NH) were selected to the 1st team and 2nd team, respectively.
Purcell was selected to the All-State First team after leading the Raiders to a 15-10 overall record and an 8-4 mark in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. Purcell became the fastest Student-Athlete in GNAC history to reach 1,000 career points (just 71 games) during her sophomore season. She finished the year averaging 22.6 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game. This is the second consecutive season that Purcell was selected - she earned 2nd team honors in 2012.
Guidi was named to the All-State 2nd team in her first season in Raider Blue. The junior transfer averaged 13.5 points per game and led the team with 6.5 rebounds per game. Guidi was also lights out from beyond the arc as she connected on 52 three point field goals in the 2012-13 season.
