Men's Soccer drops overtime decision to Albertus Magnus

(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Men's Soccer team lost their second straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference overtime contest this afternoon to visiting Albertus Magnus College, 1-0 at Raider Field. The Raiders are now 1-8-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the conference while Albertus Magnus now sits at 8-2-2 (3-1-1).

Albertus' Alexis Garcia netted the game winner just 1:42 into the extra period. He was setup by Alex Zapata who was able to feed Garcia a pass inside the 18-yard box.

Rivier goalkeeper Gary Archambault (Auburn, N.H.) made eight saves on the night while his counterpart Griffin Volta made just one save for the shutout.

Rivier will be back on the pitch tomorrow evening as they host Lesley University at 4pm. Albertus Magnus will travel to Coast Guard for their next scheduled contest on October 7th, game time is set for 6pm.
