Andreozzi Named GNAC Player of the Week

Rivier men's volleyball senior outside hitter Jared Andreozzi (Barrington, RI) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week after leading the Raiders to their fourth consecutive GNAC men's volleyball championship this past weekend. Andreozzi was named the GNAC Tournament MVP after leading the Raiders offense with 16 kills in a 3-0 win against Johnson & Wales University in the semifinal match and then dropping 22 kills in the finals against Lasell College to win the championship 3-1. Andreozzi also posted a combined 7 blocks, 2 ace serves and 8 digs in the two matches en route to being named MVP. Earlier in the week Jared led the Raiders past non-conference opponent Endicott College with a 3-0 victory by notching 14 kills and 2 blocks. Jared's next feat will be to guide the Raiders through the regional North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA) 16 team tournament in hopes to bringing the Raiders back to their second final four appearance.
