Rivier Sweeps Mount Ida

Brookline MA - #5 Rivier College (2-0 GNAC; 8-0 overall) defeated Mount Ida College 3-0 by the scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-19. Outside hitter Sam Kazlas led the Raiders with a team high 10 kills while adding 3 blocks, 3 digs, and 1 service ace. Cameron Walker dished out 24 assists in directing the Raider offense and also scooped up a team high 7 digs with a match high 2 ace serves. Middle hitter Terence Matatall put back 6 blocks and Libero Alex Wezelis picked up 6 digs. Taylor Lindner and Steven Coulson combined for 8 kills and 7 blocks and Daniel Elitharp played a good all around game with 6 kills and 5 digs with a solid 20 for 21 on receive.

Rivier will travel to Newark NJ on Saturday 1/30 and Sunday 1/30 for the Rutgers-Newark Golden Dome Classic. At 4pm on Saturday 1/30 Rivier will play Baruch College followed by a 6pm match against Stevens Institute of Technology. On Sunday 1/31 Rivier will challenge D'Youville College at 11am followed by a 1pm match against New York University.
