Men’s Lacrosse Blows Past Regis

WESTON, MA: Rivier men's lacrosse blew past Regis College in GNAC action this evening.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 4/12/23

- Score: Rivier 20, Regis 4

- Records: Rivier (9-3, 5-2 GNAC), Regis (3-7, 0-7 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  Regis struck first at 11:46 in the first quarter on a Matt Cabassa goal. The Raiders would go on an eight-goal run. Cabassa would net his second to end the run. Riv would net three more to end the half at 11-2.

- The second half was all Rivier again, with the Pride scoring two in the third. Connor Deveau and Cabassa netted those goals. For the Raiders, Nicolas Tavares (Danvers, MA) topped all scorers with five goals and one assist. Connor Eck (Franklin, MA) and Sean Callinan (Shelton, CT) both found the back of the net three times. Eck also added two assists on the night. Michael Ference (Salem, NH) scored twice, as well as dishing out seven assists.

- Samuel Tibbetts (Gray, ME) got his first start and win (1-0) this evening in net for the Raiders, facing five shots and having one save. Robby Fuller was tagged with the loss (3-7) with 11 saves and 15 goals allowed.
