Surber, Parent combine to lead Raiders over Mount Ida, 2-0

(Nashua, NH) The Rivier College Women's Soccer team extended their winning streak to three as they defeated Mount Ida College, 2-0 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest tonight at Raider Field.

Sophomore Christina Parent (Loudon, NH) recorded her third goal of 2011 just 11 minutes into the game. Freshman Mary Donovan (Milford, NH) was credited with the assist.

Parent would extend the lead to 2-0 when she connected on a pass from sophomore Deanna Cetto (Sterling, MA) at the 76 minute mark.

Sophomore Christine Surber (Langdon, NH)stopped the only shot she saw as she earned her fourth win of the season.

Rivier will travel up to Standish, Maine for a GNAC contest with Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday, October 8th. The Monks are currently 5-3-2 on the season with a 4-2-2 mark inside GNAC play.
