Hinkley Selected as ECHA Goaltender of the Week
WORCESTER, Mass. – Rivier women's ice hockey junior goaltender Rachel Hinkley picked up her second Eastern Collegiate Hockey Alliance (ECHA) honors of the season, earning Goaltender of the Week status from the league after making a season-high of 57 saves in a 2-1 overtime win over the Lancers of Worcester St. on Friday night.
In the final contest of the weekend series against Worcester St. on Saturday night, Hinkley picked up 17 saves over 33:20 time on ice.
Hinkley and the Raiders will travel to Paxson, Mass. on Friday, Feb. 9 to face Anna Maria in an ECHA matchup, with a puck drop of 5:40 p.m. at Buffone Ice Arena.
