Grumblatt Selected to NEWBA First Team
NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Rivier women's basketball senior Lyric Grumblatt was named to the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) First Team.
Despite a 0-3 week for the Raiders, Grumblatt led the squad on the floor, averaging 29.7 points per game against the non-conference slate. She added 6.0 rebounds per game, 3.0 assists per game, and 1.0 steals per game playing 38.3 minutes per game on average. In a loss at Trinity (Conn.) on Thursday, Nov. 21, Grumblatt tied her career-high single-game points total with 44.
Grumblatt and the Raiders face off against Plymouth St. in a non-conference clash on Tuesday night with tip-off at Foley Gym set for 5:00 p.m. Entering the game, Grumblatt ranks second in NCAA Division III with 28.8 points per game, which is atop the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) leaderboard.
