Bulldogs Take Down Men’s Basketball

NASHUA, NH: Rivier men's basketball lost to Dean College in conference play today in the Muldoon Center.   

THE BASICS:

- Records: Rivier (2-7, 0-1 GNAC), Dean (5-2, 1-0 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders and Bulldogs traded buckets going neck and neck for the majority of the first half as both defenses set the tone. Nikolas Pignone (Stoneham, MA) hit some tough shots late in the first half to cut the Raider deficit to ten. Nesta Roberts (Manchester, CT) anchored the post for the second half, tallying 14 points and seven rebounds.

- Dorien Ruffin led the Bulldogs with 22 points, while Malik Spearman had a double-double, contributing 21 points and ten rebounds. Coming off the bench, Jakobi Greenleaf had 12 points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs.

- Josef Buford (Atlanta, GA) recorded 11 points and seven rebounds for the Raiders this evening. Pharaoh Davis (Plainville, MA) and Robenson Baguidy (Goffstown, NH) facilitated the late-game offense. Davis poured in 13 points and eight assists, complementing Baguidy's eight points and four assists.
