Men’s Basketball Earns First Win of the Season

NASHUA, NH: Rivier men's basketball won against the University of Maine at Presque Isle in non-conference action today at UNE in the Jim Beaudry Classic.   

THE BASICS:

- Score: Rivier 62, UMPI 58

- Records: Rivier (1-2), UMPI (0-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Raiders snuck by with a four-point win over UMPI. Pharaoh Davis (Plainville, MA) led the team in baskets, scoring 18 points. Nesta Roberts (Manchester, CT) had a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Robenson Baguidy (Goffstown, NH) contributed 10 points this afternoon.

- Griffin Guerrette led the Owls putting up 22 points today. Dany Harris had a double-double for UMPI with 12 points and 18 rebounds. Akhe McMichael scored 10 points for the owls.

- Riv had a free throw shooting percentage of 60% and UMPI had a free throw shooting percentage of 40%.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Rebounds: UMPI 51, Rivier 48

- Assists: UMPI 12, Rivier 6

- Shooting Percentage: Rivier 37.3%, UMPI 32.0%
