(Sweet Bryar, VA) The Rivier Field Hockey team got a late second half surge but it wasn't enough as they fell 4-3 to Cedar Crest on the campus of Sweet Bryar College in Virginia.
Trailing 3-1 at halftime, the Raiders stormed back with a pair of goals in the second half. Senior Kristen Tyler (Thornton, NH) netted her first of the season inside the 48 minute mark and 20 minutes later sophomore Presleigh Skelley (Wolfeboro, NH) got her first goal of the year. However, it was not enough as the team falls to 0-2 on their season opening trip south.
Senior Ashley Ruocco (East Hampstead, NH) got the Raiders on the board in the first half with a goal at 22:38 off a perfect feed from freshman Breanna Budryk (Tweksbury, MA).
