Jeremy Ball named GNAC Rookie of the Week

(Boston, MA) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced this afternoon the recipients of the Weekly Honors and Rivier freshman Jeremy Ball was named Baseball's Rookie of the Week.

The Swanzey, NH native, Ball went 3-for-6 in the only two games for the Raiders last week. He helped them to a 3-2 win over Mass Maritime, going 2-for-4 with a run scored. In the 1-0 loss, Ball was 1-for-2 and worked two base on balls while playing errorless defense in right field.

This is the first time this season that Ball has been awarded by the GNAC. In his first 11 games, Ball is hitting at a .400 clip (12-for-30) with 2 RBI and a double.

The Raiders will return to action on Thursday evening as they travel to Campanelli Stadium in Brockton, Mass. to take on Newbury College in non-conference action. Game time is scheduled for 7pm.
