Men’s Volleyball Falls to Lasell, Downs Dean in Final GNAC Tri-Match

FRANKLIN, Mass. – The Rivier men's volleyball team battled Lasell and Dean in its final Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match on Saturday afternoon at Pieri Gymnasium. The Raiders fell to the Lasers in four sets before downing the Bulldogs in four sets and now sit at 14-12 (7-2 GNAC).

Rivier will face off against Elms at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2 at the Muldoon Center as the Raiders honor the members of the class of 2024.

Lasell 3, Rivier 1

The Lasers hit at a .388 percentage to down the Raiders in the middle match of the day.

After Lasell went up 2-0, Rivier put together a strong third set, but it wouldn't be enough as the Lasers rallied for a 25-15 victory in the fourth to seal the win.

Chris Lezon had 12 kills at a .455 clip in the setback. Sokunbuth Ly had 16 kills while hitting .323 with eight digs. Both Isaac Borges and Neil Rea recorded 10 digs.

Rivier 3, Dean 1

In the final game of the day, Rivier hit at a .345 pace to clip the host Bulldogs in four.

Several Raiders had key performances, including Justin Barish, Sebastian Menchaca, Tyler Dickinson, and Joseph Cruz.
