Racevicius Reaches 1,000 Digs in Win Over Southern Maine

GORHAM, ME: Rivier women's volleyball picks up another win after defeating non-conference opponent Southern Maine this evening.  

THE BASICS:

- Records: Rivier (23-4), Southern Maine (5-19)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders were in another tight battle this evening with the Huskies of Southern Maine. Riv had another solid offensive performance while out, hitting Southern Maine 39 to 27. They continue to light it up on the serve causing another 13 reception errors. Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, CT) topped the match again for the Raiders with 14 kills. She also met another career milestone by racking up her 1,000th dig, making her the second player in Rivier history to have 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. Sofia Pawlusik (Burnt Hills, NY) also had a match-high with 15 digs. Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, NY) helped the offense perform with her setting, as she dished out 34 assists.

- The Huskies couldn't get on a roll offensively as they fell short to Riv. Brianna Delloiacono led her team with eight kills. Setting her was Sophie Lindsay, who racked up 16 assists along with ten digs.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
