Volleyball Takes Down Colby-Sawyer to Start Conference Play

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier women's volleyball team picked up the victory this evening against Colby-Sawyer in conference action.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/28/22

- Score: Rivier 3, Colby-Sawyer 0

- Records: Rivier (9-3, 1-0 GNAC), Colby-Sawyer (5-10, 1-1 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders offense again was powered by Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, CT) and Lily Sills (Carlisle, MA). Combined, the two had 25 of the team's 36 kills. Racevicius had a match-high 15 kills, while Sills had ten. Sofia Pawlusik (Burnt Hills, NY) had a solid performance at Libero, racking a match-high 13 digs. Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, NY) tallied 29 assists along with three kills.

- For the Chargers, Katie Mollberg had the team high in kills with five. Brooke Patnode set 17 people up for kills throughout the match.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Kills: Rivier 36, Colby-Sawyer 19

-  Assists: Rivier 35, Colby-Sawyer 19

-  Digs: Rivier 37, Colby-Sawyer 35

- Rivier volleyball will be back in action Saturday when they host Western New England and Bay Path in non-conference action.
