STANDISH, ME: Rivier women's volleyball took down both Saint Joseph's today in GNAC action to remain perfect.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 10/22/22

- Score: Rivier 3, SJC 0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-14). Rivier 3, USJ 0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-14)

- Records: Rivier (21-4, 10-0 GNAC), SJC (12-16, 6-5 GNAC), USJ (4-19, 1-9 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED: Match One

-  The Raiders offense was firing on all cylinders today as they racked up 43 kills with an impressive .316 kill percentage. Their best set came in the third, where they tallied 16 kills to the Monks seven. Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, CT) racked up 17 kills. Before the match, she had 999 kills, and it didn't take long to get the 1,000th kill of her career. She was backed up by Lily Sills (Carlisle, MA), who finished with 14 kills. Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, NY) dished out 29 assists.

- For the Monks, Victoria Briones had a team-high of five kills. Hanna Holden tallied seven assists for SJC, along with seven digs.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

HOW IT HAPPENED: Match Two

- Racevicius, Sills, and Ali Rivera (Lowell, MA) paced the Raiders offense in game two. Racevicius tallied a match-high ten kills. She has followed Sills with eight kills and Rivera with six. Sofia Pawlusik (Burnt Hills, NY) racked up 19 digs. Pollard finished with 24 assists, seven kills, and seven digs.

- The Blue Jays had 14 kills as a team, with Shannon Carey leading the way with four kills. Fernanda Ayala Rodriguez had a team-high nine assists.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Kills: Rivier 35, USJ 14

- Assists: Rivier 34, USJ 13

- Digs: Rivier 56, USJ 43
