Women’s Volleyball Stumbles to Panthers

PLYMOUTH, NH: Rivier women's volleyball team fell this evening in non-conference action to Plymouth State University in three straight sets.   

THE BASICS:

- Score: Plymouth 3, Rivier 0

- Records: Plymouth (11-3), Rivier (11-4)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders struggled on the offensive side this evening, racking up 27 attack errors to Plymouth's 14. Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, CT) was the most productive for Riv with 11 kills. Sofia Pawlusik (Burnt Hills, NY) did all she could on defense, finishing with a match-high 16 digs. Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, NY) also had a match-high with 25 assists.

- Lilli Stogner finished with an impressive .409 kill percentage for the Panthers with a match-high 12 kills. Riley McDonough shared the setting responsibilities with Kalista Butler. Combined, they dished out 37 assists, with McDonough topping the two with 18 assists to Butler's 12.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Kills: Plymouth 38, Rivier 31

-  Assists: Plymouth 37, Rivier 29

-  Digs: Plymouth 48, Rivier 41

- Rivier women's volleyball will be back in action Thursday in the Muldoon against Emmanuel in GNAC action at 7 PM.
