Racevicius’ 17 Kills Lifts Volleyball Over NEC

NASHUA, NH: The Rivier women's volleyball team took down New England College this evening in non-conference action in the Muldoon Center.

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/15/22

- Score: Rivier 3, NEC 0: Sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-14)

- Records: Rivier (5-1), NEC (2-8)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders took the lead in each set and never fell behind. Sydney Racevicius (Woodbury, CT) had her best match of the young season racking up 17 kills along with another match high 13 digs. Racevicius also finished with five aces which was another match high. Avery Pollard (Ballston Lake, NY) tallied 34 assists and four kills this evening.

- For the Grims, Amber Thi led the offensive effort with seven kills. Arianna Blaize-Llamas was the go-to setter on the night for NEC, dishing out ten assists.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Kills: Rivier 44, NEC 20

-  Kill %: Rivier .315, NEC .019

-  Assists: Rivier 38, NEC 20

- Digs: Rivier 60, NEC 51
