Women's Lacrosse Wins Third Straight, 22-2 over Daniel Webster

Nashua – Natalie Bonvie (Salem, N.H.) paced a 43-shot Rivier College attack netting seven goals and assisted on another leading Rivier College past host Daniel Webster College, 22-2 in a matchup of intracity women's lacrosse foes Thursday night in a game played at Rivier Field.

The Raiders (3-0) were also paced by three-goal efforts from Hannah Wyatt (Merrimack, N.H.), Amanda Atwell (Raymond, N.H.) and Alyssa Renaud (Goffstown, N.H.), while Rebecca Wickens (Tyngsboro, Mass.) and Jessica Amaral (E. Providence, R.I.) added two goals apiece.

Senior Stephanie Zeman (Jefferson Township, N.J.) and junior Amy Prince (Hope Valley, R.I.) notched single tallies for the Eagles (0-1), while sophomore goalkeeper Laura Giannetti (Ashburnham, Mass.) made 17 saves.

Caleigh Bertolaccini (Chelmsford, Mass.) made two stops for the Raiders.

Rivier took control early, scoring six times before the six-minute mark and held a 7-0 lead before Zeman put the Eagles on the board 7:20 into the opening half. Rivier would close the period with 10 unanswered goals for a 17-1 lead at the break.

Prince would open the second with her first career tally three minutes in before River would close it out with the game's final five goals.

Samantha Cotoni (Groton, Mass.) would finish with a game high five draw controls for the Eagles, who return to action on Saturday, visiting Pine Manor College at 1:00 p.m.

Rivier visits Emerson Saturday in a GNAC contest beginning at Noon.
