Rivier Falls to Albertus Magnus on Senior Day, 95-86

Nashua, NH - Senior guard Nick Bean scored a team high 25 points on the day, but was 0-8 from the 3-point line as the Raiders dropped their second straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) basketball game today, 95-86.

After a 3-pointer from Falcons guard Walden St. Juste at 13:55 to play in the first half, Albertus Magnus took a 13-12 lead and never trailed again en route to their fourth straight GNAC victory.  The Falcons shot 50% from the 3-point line throughout the game to seal the win while the Raiders hit just 12.5% including going 0-9 from long distance during the second half. 

Bean led the Raiders with 25 points while fellow seniors Don Poitras and Matt Nims scored 10 and 3 points respectively.  Freshman Tom Poitras came up big with 20 points on 8 for 11 shooting and grabbed 7 rebounds in the loss.  The Raiders fall to 12-11 overall and 7-9 in GNAC play with 2 games remaining before the playoffs.  THe Raiders have already locked up a spot in the GNAC playoffs and will look to secure the 5th seed if they can pull off two wins.

St. Juste led all scorers with 26 points and added 8 rebounds while teammate Arshad Jackson added 21 point.  Darius Watson and Chris Cagle both grabbed 10 rebounds to help secure the win.

The Raiders will host St. Joseph's College of Maine on Tuesday at 7:00 PM for their final home game of the regular season.  St. Joseph's currently holds the top spot in the conference with a 13-3 GNAC record.
