Raiders Dominate Emerson 19 - 6

(Nashua, New Hampshire) The Rivier University Men's Lacrosse team put up a big win over the visiting Emerson College Lions this evening at home 19 - 6.  With the win, the Raiders improve to 2 – 2 on the season.  Rivier ran out to a 7 – 0 lead in the 1^st quarter and never looked back, dominating with scores of 10 – 0 at the half and 18 – 2 after three quarters. 

The Raiders blitzed Emerson in the 1^st quarter, striking for seven goals to take complete control of the game.  Cody Lynch (SR, Salem, NH) opened the scoring and had a pair of goals.  Rivier got single strikes from Ryan Coombs (SO, Derry, NH), Colby Larsen (FR, Windham, NH), Kyle Graham (SR, Londonderry, NH), Joe Kelland (SO, Watertown, MA), and Liam Ryan (SO, Dorchester, MA).  John Cangiamila (JR, Woburn, MA) had a goal in the 2^ndquarter and goals from Eric Guinasso (FR, Pelham, NH) and Tyler Tambouris (SO, Hooksett, NH) added the margin for the Raiders 10 – 0 halftime lead. 

The Raiders wrapped up the win with another run of 8 – 2 in the 3^rd quarter, with Ryan notching three goals, Larsen pitched in a pair and Coombs, Tambouris and Colby Larsen (FR, Windham, NH) adding single strikes.  Emerson got two goals from Cameron Radenberg (FR) and Nicholas Kitsos (SR, Summit, NJ).  Rivier added one more goal in the final quarter from Guinasso. 

Clark Plummer (JR, Londonderry, NH) made 9 saves in net for the Raiders.  Matt Cloutman (FR, Peabody, MA) played the 4^th quarter and contributed 6 saves.   For the Lions, Bailey Kennedy (FR, Swampscott, MA) recorded 6 saves and Bo White (SO, Moorestown, NJ) had 3 saves.

With the win the Raiders pull even at 2 – 2 on the season.  The Lions fall to 0 – 1 on the season.  Next up for the Raiders is a trip to Becker College on March 19^th at 1:00 pm.  Emerson returns to action March 12^th, when they host Mass Boston.
