NEW LONDON, N.H. – Rivier women's lacrosse team was downed by Colby–Sawyer on Tuesday afternoon at Sally Shaw Veitch Field in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) North Division matchup by a final score of 13-4.
The Raiders fell to 5-6 overall (2-5 GNAC) while the Chargers moved to 9 -2 (5-1 GNAC).
Rivier would fall 4-1 after the first period but were unable to find momentum on the offensive end. The Raiders were outscored 8–3 during the final 45 minutes of play.
Ashley Wilder completed a hat trick scoring in the while Cassie Hemmerdinger netted a goal in the defeat.
Lindsey Kruger and Rachel Hinkley split the game in net. Kruger started the game totaling five saves while Hinkley completed the second half, making seven stops.
The Raiders return to Merrill Field on Saturday, April 13 at noon for a Greater Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) North Division match-up against Anna Maria College. The Raiders will celebrate their five seniors before the start of the game.
