Men’s Volleyball Swept By Nichols

NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier men's volleyball team was bested in straight sets by Nichols in a Wednesday night non-conference clash at the Muldoon Center.

The Raiders fell by set scores of 14-25, 16-25, 23-25 to fall to 4-7 as the Bison improved to 5-9.

Nichols used a .550 hitting percentage to dominate the first set en route to taking an early lead.

After trailing 10-8 in the second set, the Bison used a 7-1 run to separate themselves from the Raiders and force Rivier to call a timeout to regroup. From there, the visitors closed out the set despite a late push by Rivier to take a 2-0 lead.

The third set saw 12 tie scores and eight lead changes, but ultimately the Bison prevailed late to earn the sweep.

The Raiders return to action on Thursday, Feb. 20 with another non-conference tune-up, this time against Curry, with first serve set for 7:00 p.m. at the Muldoon Center.
