Giordano named Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

(Nashua, NH) The Rivier College Men's Basketball program just got a little bit better. 13th year head coach Dave Morissette has officially announced the hiring of Chris Giordano as his assistant coach.

Giordano was a three year starter for the Raiders while he earned his Bachelor's Degree in English. He was an integral part of the 2007 squad that won the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship and made an appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

"We are really excited to have Chris back with the Rivier Men's Basketball Program." said Coach Morissette, who coached Giordano from 2004-2007. "He brings a wealth of knowledge and energy. I know the team and the Rivier Community will be proud to have him representing Rivier College and our Men's Basketball Program."

Since graduating in 2007, Giordano has been involved in the youth and high school levels as a coach. Recently he was the Assistant Coach for the Nashua North High School Varsity program for the past three seasons. He was also the Head Coach for a 16U team in the Middlesex Magic AAU program.

An Arlington Catholic graduate of 2003 and a native of Medford, Mass., Giordano is currently a teacher at the Dr. An Wang Middle School in Lowell, Mass.
