Four Earn GNAC All-Conference Honors for Women's Lacrosse

NASHUA, NH: The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Released its selections for the 2023 All-Conference Teams for women's lacrosse this afternoon. The Raiders had four student-athletes make it onto a team this season.

Second Team:

Rivier had two make it onto the GNAC Second Team. Sarah Lachance (Chelmsford, MA) put together another great season during her sophomore campaign at mid-field. She ended the year with a career high 59 goals, along with 17 assists, for 76 points. Lachance was one of the top options off the draw with 48 wins. She also added 44 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers.

Cassie Hemmerdinger (Pelham, NH) also made the Second Team as a defender. Hemmerdinger is the team's go to defender to lock down their opponent's top offensive weapon. She finished with a team-high 69 draw wins, along with 69 ground balls and 44 caused turnovers. Hemmerdinger also found herself on the offensive side of the ball from time to time, racking up 17 goals and six assists for 23 points this season.

All-Rookie Team:

Bailey Carroll (Nashua, NH) made the All-Rookie Team. Carroll came into this season as a defender and moved to mid-field and handled the draw controls. She contributed seven goals this season with three assists for ten points. Carroll scooped up 38 ground balls with 13 caused turnovers, and 17 draw control wins.

All-Sportsmanship:

Caitlin Newell (Litchfield, NH) was named to the All-SPortsmanship Team by the conference. She was one of the Raiders top offensive weapons at her mid-field position. This season she found the back of the net 19 times to go along with nine assists, totaling 28 points. Newell also snagged 33 ground balls and had seven caused turnovers.
