(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier Women's Lacrosse team (0 – 2) fell to visiting Regis College (1 – 0) this evening 14 – 9 at Raider Field. The teams played an even 1st half, trading two goal surges and went into the break tied 4 – 4. The Pride used a 6 – 1 run in the opening twelve minutes of the 2nd half to pull ahead 10 – 5 on the Raiders, before closing out the game with the road win.
Rivier was led on the day by Amanda Barton (FR, Pelham, NH), 3 goals, 4 shots on goal, and 5 ground balls; and Lauren Goodspeed (JR, Merrimack, NH), 2 goals, 3 shots on goal, and 9 ground balls. In goal, Courtney Laperriere (SO, Keene, NH) went the distance and had 11 saves on the day.
Regis was paced by Taylor Assarian (SO, Arlington, MA), 3 goals, 1 assist, 5 shots on goal, and 2 ground balls; and Brooke Ross (FR, Hanover, MA), 3 goals, 1 assist, 4 shots on goal, and 4 ground balls. The visiting Pride were backstopped by 6 saves from starter Olivia Maggio (FR, W. Windsor, NJ).
