Raider’s remain a perfect 2-0

(Nashua, NH) Rivier College topped University of Maine Farmington at home to earn their second win of the season and hand the visitors their first loss with a final score of 9-1.

The Raiders (2-0 Overall, 0-0 GNAC) opened up their offensive assault by an early goal by sophomore Jeff Kelly (Westborough, MA) who finished with two and had one assist on the afternoon. The top performer of the day however was sophomore Shawn Donovan (Tewksbury, MA) who had three goals and three assists helping out on all but three of the scores the Raiders had.

For the Beavers, (0-1 Overall, 0-0 NAC) their lone goal was put through by sophomore Tennessee Peters (Scarborough, Maine) who took five shots all of them being on goal. Their goalie, sophomore Hunter Rowell (West Paris, Maine) played the entire game and made 10 saves against the Raiders.

Rivier will be back in action next Wednesday (3/21) at home against Green Mountain at 6pm under the lights. UMF will take the field on Monday (3/19) against Emerson on the road with a 7pm start time.
