Peacock selected back to the All-Conference First Team

(Boston, MA) The Great Northeast Athletic Conference released their 2013 Softball All-Conference team selections and Rivier junior Nicole Peacock was named to the first team as an outfielder. This is the third straight season in which Peacock has been named to the All-Conference team as she earned first team honors in 2012 and second team in 2011.

The Warwick, Rhode Island native paced the Raider offense as she hit an outstanding .478 over her 37 games played in 2013. She collected 55 hits and scored 47 runs while belting 6 home runs and driving in 20 runs. The speedy centerfielder also stole 35 bases from the leadoff spot in the lineup.

Peacock helped led a young team that was comprised of just five returners from 2012 back into the GNAC Playoffs with a 16-21 overall record and an 11-13 mark in the conference. As the seventh seed, the Raiders were able to knock off #2 Emerson College before bowing out in the GNAC Final Four Tournament held at the University of Saint Joseph.
