The Raiders earned their third straight win against the Northern Vermont University-Lyndon Hornets on neutral ground tonight, 18-6.

(New Hampton, Vt.) It only took the Raiders three minutes to sting the Hornets and the first to do it was freshman Jeffrey Potter (N. Bennington, Vt.).  Less than a minute later Jacob Enwright took his first shot of the match.  The shot went wide however the Raiders retained possession.  The Raiders worked the ball around and eventually found Enwright who shot again, this time his found the back of the net. Goal number one and two went unassisted.

The Raiders went on to score four more goals before the end of the period.  Contributors were sophomore Nick Ackerman (Durham, N.H.), senior Drew Fuller (Westfield, Mass.) and sophomore Corey Hicks (Londonderry, N.H.) who notched two in a row.

The Hornets were able to sneak a goal in before the first buzzer. Senior Jet Magri (Lincolnville, Me.) scored off a dish from junior Taner Onor (E. Montpelier, Vt.).

NVU struck first in the second period.  It was senior Conor Brennan (Southington, CT) who took advantage of a man-up opportunity.  The assist was credited to junior Justin Servidori Yarmouth, Mass.

The Raiders immediately responded after the faceoff. Potter scooped up a ground ball that popped out of the face off and went straight to goal to claim his 13th goal of the season.

The second half looked a lot like the first as the Raiders continued to dominate on both sides of the ball.  In addition to the eight goals scored by the Raiders in the third and fourth, they dominated in all statistical categories.  Collectively, the Raiders let off twenty-five shots and went 12-13 on clearances, while causing ten turnovers and picking up twenty-four groundballs.

Raiders goalie Ben Fitzpatrick (Stoneham, Mass.) earned the win today as he punched out after 54:07 minutes of work, pulling down seven saves. Freshman Lachlan Rodgers (Hoosick, Falls) subbed in to close out the final minutes of the game.

When all was said and done the score was 18-6.  This win keeps the streak going as the Raiders have won the last three.  Rivier rises to 3-2 on the season and NVU-Lyndon drops to 0-2.

Up next for the Raiders will be another away game.  It'll take place at Dean College (3-1) in Franklin, Massachusetts next Tuesday at 4PM.
