(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Women's Soccer team lost their final game of the 2014 season this evening in rainy conditions to visiting Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, 1-0 at Raider Field in non-conference action. The Raiders finish the season at 6-12-0 while MCLA improves to 4-11-1.
MCLA was able to break the ice in the 40th minute when Jacklyn Dwyer connected on a pass from Brittany Whitford. That would be all that the Trailblazers would need as they held on for the win.
Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Goodspeed (Merrimack, N.H.) made 8 saves on the night. Her counterpart, Alison Davey stopped all three shots she faced.
MCLA will wrap up the 2014 season on Saturday afternoon as they host Massachusetts Maritime Academy in a 1pm kickoff.
