McKelvey Earns Second ECHA Rookie of the Week Award
WORCESTER, Mass. – Rivier women's ice hockey first year forward Rebecca McKelvey registered two points in a 0-0-2 week of action in Eastern Collegiate Hockey Alliance (ECHA) action to be tabbed the Alliance's Rookie of the Week. This is McKelvey's second weekly award of her collegiate career.
In a midweek 1-1 tie against Anna Maria, McKelvey assisted on the lone Raiders goal to help ensure a tie against the AMCATS. In Saturday night's contest against Worcester St., she lit the lamp on feeds from Grace Arsenault and Brianna Rumptz to re-tie the game just minutes after the Lancers took a 2-1 lead to secure yet another tie for Rivier.
McKelvey and the Raiders will return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 15 in a road matchup against Worcester St. at 4:00 p.m. at the Worcester Ice Center.
