Men's Soccer topped by Lasell in GNAC action

(Newton, Mass.) The Rivier University Men's Soccer team allowed four second half goals in the 4-0 loss on the road against Lasell College this afternoon at Taylor Field in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. The loss sends the Raiders to an overall record of 1-10-0 and a 1-4-0 mark in the conference. Lasell evens their overall record at 6-6-0 and are now 3-2-0 in the GNAC.

Danny Connelly (Bedford, N.H.) provided the bulk of the offensive spark for Rivier with four shots, including a pair on frame and Gary Archambault (Auburn, N.H.) stopped six shots in goal for the Raiders.

Four different Lasers scored including Nick Rudovic (Yonkers, N.Y.), Jonathon Hislop (Arlington, Mass.), Nick Liquori (Westfield, Mass.) and Newton Jordao (Hyannis, Mass.) and Hislop and Jordao each tallied an assist in the match. Miguel Colmenares (Caracas, Venezuela) made a pair of saves in net to earn the victory in goal for Lasell.

Rivier will host Saint Joseph's College of Maine at 1pm on Monday afternoon in their next contest. Lasell will return to action on Tuesday October 14th when they visit Emmanuel College for a 7:00 p.m. start.
