
Women's Lacrosse suffers 20-8 loss to Emmanuel on Senior Day
(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Women's Lacrosse team suffered a 20-8 loss this afternoon to visiting Emmanuel College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest at Raider Field. The loss moves the Raiders' overall record to 6-10 and 3-5 in the conference while the Saints are now 11-3, 8-1 GNAC.
Prior the start of the game, the Raiders honored their four seniors who will be graduating this spring – Paxton LaRocque (Londonderry, N.H.), Jocleyn Park (Londonderry, N.H.), Chelsie Hubisack-Muldowney (Windham, N.H.) and Emily O'Reilly (San Francisco, Calif.).
Junior Amanda Wickens (Tyngsboro, Mass.) paced the Rivier offensive attack as she netted three goals and one assist on seven shots while collecting six ground balls. LaRocque found the back of the net twice and Rivier got single tallies from freshman Ashley Manzo (Windham, N.H.), sophomore Taylor Lirakis (Tewksbury, Mass.) and Park to account for the scoring.
The Saints were led by Emily Baker, who collected seven goals and three assists with Sarah Higgins adding four goals on three helpers. Savanna Lundwall and Kristen Tuleja also recorded multi-goal games in the twelve goal win.
Freshman Courtney Laperriere (Keene, N.H.) made twelve saves on the afternoon as her counterpart – Lauren White registered ten saves.
Rivier will host Johnson and Wales University on Tuesday evening in a pivotal conference clash. Game time is set for 7pm.
