Newton, Mass. – The Lasell College women's lacrosse team won their twelfth straight game, defeating Rivier College 23-10. The Lasers improved to 12-1 on the year and 7-0 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference while Rivier fell to 2-6 and 1-5 in GNAC play.
Ashley Slattery Weymouth, Mass.), Britney Wuorio (Bolton, Mass.) and Rebecca Stanton (Agawam, Mass.) each tallied six goals, while Slattery added three assists and Wuorio a pair of helpers.
Rebecca Wickens (Tyngsboro, Mass.), Hannah Wyatt (Merrimack, N.H.)and Jessica Amaral (E. Providence, R.I.) each finished the afternoon with three goals for Rivier.
Alexa Katsigianis (Amherst, N.H.) hasd eight saves on the afternoon, earning the win in net for Lasell, while Caleigh Bertolaccini (Chelmsford, Mass.) finished with six saves and took the loss for Rivier.
Rivier will travel to Anna Maria Sunday April 15th for another GNAC match-up, while the Lasers will return to the field on Tuesday April 17th when they travel to Norwich University in a battle of the top two teams in the GNAC.
