GNAC PRESEASON POLL

WINTHROP, Mass. – Following an appearance in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) semifinal round in 2024, the Rivier men's lacrosse team was selected to finish first in the North Division according to the GNAC Preseason Coaches Poll, which was released Friday afternoon.

The Raiders recorded 85 points, including 11 first-place votes to sit atop the North Division.

Rivier earned the top spot in the North for the GNAC postseason in 2024 after earning a 5-1 record against division opponents and an 8-2 ledger against league competition. Ference, Mercier, and Hailey all earned regional recognition as they were selected to participate in the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West Senior All-Star games as members of Team West.

The team returns seven of its 12 seniors from a season ago for the upcoming campaign which is set to begin on Saturday, Feb. 22 in a matchup against Plymouth St. with opening faceoff slated for 11:00 a.m. at Merrill Field.
