Men's Basketball: Raiders stumble on the road, fall to Suffolk

(Boston, Mass.) The Rivier University Men's Basketball team suffered another Great Northeast Athletic Conference loss this evening as the fell to Suffolk University, 79-45 inside the Regan Gymnasium located near downtown Boston. The loss sends the Raiders' overall record to 1-12 and 0-6 in the conference while Suffolk improves to 4-9, 3-3 in the GNAC.

Freshman Trisitan Givens (East Windsor, Conn.) led the way for the Raiders as he shot 6-for-15 on the floor for a team high 15 points. Classmate Joshua L'Heureux (Dracut, Mass.) added 13 points off the bench, knocking down all three attempts from beyond the arc, and senior Tom Deveau (Lynn, Mass.) pulled down a team leading seven rebounds.

Suffolk was paced by both Quinn McCartney and Michael Hagopian, who each scored 16 points and Jim Djema added 11 points in the win. Steven DiPrizio was the game leader with twelve rebounds and eight points.

Rivier will look to obtain their first conference win next time out when they travel to Johnson & Wales University on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 3pm.
