Pearsons, Women's Cross Country compete at Keene State Invitational

(Keene, N.H.) The Rivier University Women's Cross Country team finished 8th out of 14 competing schools this morning at the Keene State Invitational in Keene, New Hampshire. Keene State took home the team championship as they finished with a score of 34. The Raiders totaled 292 points.

Freshman Anna Pearsons (Kingston, Mass.) was the first Raider to cross the line. She checked in at 20:01 and was the 17th finisher. Pearsons was the second fastest freshman in the meet (Brandeis' Lydia McCaleb finished 14th @ 19:44).

Sophomore Grace Flanagan (Lebanon, N.H.) recorded a time of 22:57 as she was finisher #78 while classmate Kathleen Maggio (Londonderry, N.H.) crossed 105th with a time of 24:18. Senior Heather Devereaux (Londonderry, N.H.) and junior Alicia Brown (Chichester, N.H.) wrapped up the Raider attack with times of 25:57 and 27:20, respectively.

Next on the schedule for the Women's Cross Country team will the Saints Invitational hosted by Emmanuel College at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. The meet will start at 4pm on October 17th.
