Women's Lacrosse soars past Daniel Webster, 16-1

(Nashua, N.H) The Rivier tandem of Amanda Wickens (Tyngsboro, Mass.) and Paxton Laroque (Londonderry, N.H.) combined for eight goals with each scoring four while Taylor Lirakis (Tewksbury, Mass.) posted three goals and two assists leading Rivier past host Daniel Webster, 16-1 in a matchup on intracity women's lacrosse foes Thursday at Eagle Field.

Jane Farrell (Wilmington, Mass.) added two goals and an assist as the Raiders evened their record at 2-2. DWC dropped to 0-2.

Mackenzie Stone (Shelton, Conn.) scored for DWC.

Wickens would lead Rivier with nine groundballs and Lirakis added seven with four face off wins. Maddie Roulier (Pittsfield, Mass.) led DWC with a game-high 10 groundballs and added six faceoff wins.

Rivier built an 11-0 lead at the half and finished with a 33-5 shots on goal advantage on the day. The Raiders also posted advantages in groundballs (48-32) clears (7-3), and face offs (10-9).

DWC goalkeeper Madison Wood (Suwanee, Ga.) posted 17 saves while Rivier's Courtney Laperrier (Keene, N.H.) made four.

DWC hosts Husson on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Rivier visits Southern Vermont on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
