Women's Cross Country: Owens, Raiders finish 14th at Saints Invitational

(Boston, Mass.) Fresh of a team championship victory at the Travis J. Fuller Invitational, the Rivier Women's Cross Country team competed in the annual Emmanuel College Saints Invitational at Franklin Park.

The Raiders finished 14th overall with 443 points. Gordon College was the overall team champion with 66 points. There were a total of 22 teams and 210 runners competing the annual race.

Senior Anna Pearson (Kingston, Mass.) slightly edged out junior Marin Owens (Brookline, N.H.) as the top Rivier finisher as they both recorded times of 21:43 – good enough for 50th & 51st place finishes.

Other Raiders to cross the line were freshman Lauren Ferentino (Hudson, N.H.) in 101st (25:58), freshman Amelia Bassett (Derry, N.H.) in 110th (26:51) and senior Alyssa Brown (Manchester, N.H.) in 131st (32:39).
