(East Boston, Mass.) The Rivier University Women's Soccer team dropped a tough Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest this afternoon at Suffolk University, 5-0. The loss sends the Raiders' overall record to 1-10-1 and are now 0-9-1 in the conference. The Rams, meanwhile, move to 5-6-0 overall & 4-5-0 in the GNAC.
Senior goalkeeper Lauren Goodspeed (Merrimack, N.H.) was once again outstanding in net as she saw a plethora of shots. The veteran keeper made 14 saves on the 19 shots she saw taken on her.
Suffolk received first half goals from Jennifer Martin & Alexandra Nagri for the 2-0 lead at the break. Martin then proceeded to add three tallies in the final stanza for the 5-0 final.
Next up for the Raiders will be another road conference contest. This one will take place at Regis College on Tuesday evening.
